Below I have posted a few of the cool Snowboarding Books that I have found available online. They can be a powerful souce of fuel to light that fire in a rider. Snowboarding Books can effectively drive the motivation, while providing good information and a blueprint for a riders direction and progression.
Snowboarding - by Eric Preszler & Michael Mallon
This book is co-written by my friend and associate Mike Mallon. He and I went to Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat together years before we reunited to develop the young and booming Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Snowboarding Program. He is a great guy with a mind for the sport.
After working together for 5 years in Steamboat, Mike headed back to his roots on the east coast. Were he now is the Snowboard Program Director for the highly successful Stratton Mountain School. He is also a FIS Technical Delegate, overseeing the proper running and fairness of the highest level events in the world. This past May, the US Ski and Snowboard Association recognized Mike as the Technical Delegate of the Year and Stratton Mountain School, Program of the Year.
Dang Mike, nice work kid. With so much good work going on, his snowboarding books no exception, full of fun facts and great information about the sport of snowboarding.

Parks - Pipe - Powder by: Todd Richards
One of the most charismatic, popular, and talented snowboarders in the world, Todd Richards, tells the story of his life as a skateboarder–turned–world–class–snowboarder, and of the sport that in less than 10 years has gone from underground to the forefront of the Olympics.
In the late 1980s snowboarders were seen by skiers as skate–punks and 'knuckle–draggers' but in just a few years the sport has rapidly gained popularity in ski areas and resorts. By 1994 snowboarding was an exhibition sport at the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer; since then it has become one of the most popular sports in the Olympics. Todd Richards was there through it all and, as he tells his story, he shares the history of his sport.
28 Days of Winter
Every year the Burton snowboard team travels south chasing snow. 28 Days: A Snowboarding Narrative documents a specific moment in time: August 2006. That month unequaled conditions blanketed the southern island of New Zealand. In Methven, NZ a small but elite crew of Burton's global team posted up to access the incredible Southern Alps via helicopter. Simultaneously, a creative crew took control of Snowpark NZ to reinvent freestyle park riding. Meanwhile, on the distant continent of South America, the Burton Women's team was pushing into the pristine backcountry of Termas De Chillan, Chile. This snowboarding books - 28 Days is an epic photographic narrative that captures these snowboarders pushing the limits of riding in the ultimate conditions, documents the ultimate trip, and inspires us all to ride.
