What's Snowboard-Coach.com all about??
Basically, www.Snowboard-Coach.com is a support system for the progressing snowboarder. Perfect for a rider or parent looking for answers on how to get more involved in the sport. Designed as a guide to the information and ideas that can help you to develop yours skills as a rider, as a competitor and even, as a person.
Since the first days of the sport, when taking a skate deck minus the trucks and wheels, or a surfboard out to the local sledding hill to let gravity take hold, the love for the sport has grown worldwide.
In a quarter century, since snowboarding appeared, the most amazing progression has taken place. Developing into respected member of the athletic playing fields of winter sport, as well as a multi-million dollar business, complete with its own culture, lifestyle and even language.
Snowboarding is unique, with something special. Many people that try it have spent time downhill skiing, surfing or skateboarding in the past. The cross over is natural since downhill skiers share the same environment, while surfing and skating are nearly direct parents of snowboarding. Very often those who give it a shot, fall in love with it by the second or third day. After that, it becomes completely addictive. The fact that the basic progression from the second day or so, is so fast and easy, makes snowboarding very rewarding early on in ones development as a rider. The joys of riding continue to build on themselves as a rider continues to progress and develop his or her own skills.
In Snowboard-Coach.com you will find information, instruction, video demonstration, and detailed how-to's on all snowboarding subjects. All built on a strong belief that whatever you want to do with your riding, if you believe, you can achieve. Goals will be reached though dedicated effort, ambition, will to work and to get back on that horse when you get bucked off. Throughout the process of progression, individual style, skill and success will unfold. Snowboard-Coach.com is built on the idea that success is the product of a riders belief that they "can do it." Learning step by step in a supportive, creative and constructive environment with a foundation of passion for the activity, the drive to improve and the willingness to try and try again.

I am proud to present Snowboard-Coach.com. My name is Spencer Tamblyn. I am dedicated rider/coach with over 20 years experience in snowboarding, competition and coaching. I currently run the Pro-Am Freestyle Team for the
Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club in Steamboat Springs, CO.
This past May I was proud to accept the US Snowboarding,
Domestic Snowboard Coach of the Year Award for 2007.
Most recently, I was fortunate to have been selected and proud to accept the role of coaching the
USASA Pacsun National Halfpipe Team on the competitive circuit this winter.

The site will continue to grow as I create and install new pieces. Expect to see additions such as, basic explanations of snowboarding terminology and lingo, How-To's on doing the easiest tricks, then progressing all the way through to the most challenging moves a rider could think of doing. Followed up with the recipe for a successful snowboarding career. Utilizing each individuals personal characteristics and athletic abilities, driving forward in the effort to rise to their highest level of riding, competition, and athleticism. Learning to create film and photo stock, develop industry relationships, grow sponsorship deals and to become an asset to companies as a rider representative through athlete marketing.
Strap in for a wild and crazy ride. As an athlete and as a person.
